There are 3 requirements in order to qualify for a GSA Contract:
Do you provide products or services that are in need by government agencies.
Your Company must be in business for 2+ years. (Special conditions exist If you are in business less than 2 years)
Your Company must have experience within the scope of the GSA Schedule you are pursuing. Typically, at least 2 or 3 projects are required.
If you are offering services, do you have the past performance to demonstrate similar projects within the past 2 years of similar size and complexity to the solicitation’s scope of work?
If you are selling products, are they compliant with the Trade Agreements Act?
Additionally,
GSA contracting officer reviews your credit rating, financials, revenue, tax returns and more. If you are tax defaulter or has negative revenue that can trigger additional paperwork and explanations.
You need to provide a business plan and provide execution strategy.
Prove that you have enough resources to execute GSA contracts.
Must be able to meet minimum sales requirement of $25,000 annually.
Be compliant with Trade Agreement Act (TAA). This act determines which countries of origin are allowable.
If you are a distributor or reseller of products manufactured by other companies you need to provide a manufacturer support letter for every product.
Provide sample invoice copies to show your sales history and pricing.
